Jack White of the White Stripes has formed a side project, the Raconteurs, with singer Brendan Benson and Greenhornes bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keeler.
Keyboardist Roger O'Donnell and guitarst Perry Bamonte have left the Cure, which will continue as a trio.
The inaugural Zooma Tour -- a jam-band fan's paradise featuring Trey Anastasio, Ben Harper and others -- has canceled its five-week summer run because of slow ticket sales. That means that Anastasio's only two gigs are Bonnaroo in Tennessee and the 10,000 Lakes Festival in Detroit Lakes, Minn.
Paul McCartney is creating a children's book, 'High in the Clouds: An Urban Furry Tale,' inspired by his animated film 'Tropic Island Hum.'"
